DESCRIPTION:Grand opening of our new exhibit—American Ballet Theatre: Then & NowThe National Museum of Dance will be holding a reception for the opening of the new exhibit\, American Ballet Theatre: Then and Now\, and the induction of Oliver Smith and Frederic Franklin into the Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney Hall of Fame on July 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. This reception will feature guest speakers including exhibit curator Denise Warner Limoli. \n\nAmerican Ballet Theatre: Then and Now will house a collection of costumes\, photographs\, programs and memorabilia from the American Ballet Theatre and will provide a detailed overview of the national ballet company’s history from the 1940’s to the present.
