\nThanks in large part to a grant from the Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust\, the Saratoga Springs Jewish Community looks to welcome the one-woman show by Shira Ginsburg\, Bubby's Kitchen\, on June 29\, 2014.

\nThe production will be part of the 2014 Saratoga Jewish Cultural Festival in Saratoga Springs and will be featured at the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater at Skidmore College. \; The performance is open to the public and is sponsored by Temple Sinai\, Congregation Shaara Tfille and Skidmore Office for Student Jewish Life. \; The goal is to have the local and regional communities recognize the strength and vitality of the Jewish community and to bring youth and adults together. \; The 2014 Alfred Z. Solomon performance will be part of the third annual events.

\nBubby&rsquo\;s Kitchen tells the heartwarming\, true story of Shira Ginsburg&rsquo\;s journey from youth through her thirties as experienced in her Bubby&rsquo\;s kitchen. The show is a biographical reenactment of three generations of the Ginsburg family and of Jewish life in Upstate NY. \; Having grown up with grandparents who were resistance fighters from Poland\, who married in a Displaced Persons Camp\, who were Holocaust survivors and who settled in Troy\, NY\, Ms. Ginsburg&rsquo\;s moving tale illustrates the balance between the new and the old\, responsibility and desire\, and life and love that will make you laugh and cry in one breath. \;Bubby&rsquo\;s Kitchen weaves together creative arrangements that incorporate a monologue as well as Yiddish\, liturgical and musical theatre of traditional and original songs. \;Though Bubby&rsquo\;s Kitchen is the story of one woman&rsquo\;s life\, it holds a poignant and heartfelt mirror up to anyone who has ever sat around their family's kitchen table and been filled with the richness of food\, the riches of stories\, and lots and lots of love. \; \;

\nMs. Ginsburg is a theatrical personality as well as a Cantor for the East End Temple in Manhattan. \;A graduate of Syracuse University's Drama and Musical Theatre program\, she spent a number of years in NY working as a professional actress\, singer\, and songwriter before being invested as Cantor from Hebrew Union College. \; Ms. Ginsburg has performed on stages in Israel\, England and all over the United States and has been thrilled to bring Bubby&rsquo\;s Kitchen to communities across the nation. \; In addition to her stage credits\, she has been involved in productions and concerts that aim to give voice to those who cannot speak for themselves including the Broadway Benefit for Darfur\, The Jewish Partisans Educational Foundation Benefit\, Simon Wiesenthal&rsquo\;s Humanitarian Award Ceremony and &ldquo\;Wallenberg&rdquo\;\, a new musical that tells the righteous tale of Raoul Wallenberg. \;For more information please look at the website www.bubbyskitchen.com
