As the eighth child of eleven\, who grew up in a three-room shack in West Virginia mining country\, she was steadfast voice for her people and often sang at union rallies and benefits for mineworkers.\n Playing the inspiring\, poignant songs of Hazel Dickens and sharing her remarkable life's story will be John Kirk and Trish Miller\, Linda Schrade and Dave Kiphuth\, Kevin Maul and Peggy LeCuyer\, and Johnny and Annie Rosen.
