DESCRIPTION:“Reading a Quilt\,” will be held at Brookside Museum on Sunday\, April 29\, from 1-3 pm.“Reading a Quilt\,” will be held at Brookside Museum on Sunday\, April 29\, from 1-3 pm.\n\nDo you have a quilt stored away that you wish you knew more about?  Did you find one at an antique shop that you couldn’t resist\, but wonder about when it was made?  Join the Capital Region Quilt Study Group as they share their knowledge of historic quilts and the techniques used to discover their stories.  You are welcome to bring a quilt you want to learn more about or you are welcome to attend and observe what others have brought with them.  This program will be in a roundtable discussion format\, as many members will have insights to share.  You will also have the opportunity to learn about appropriate options for storing and cleaning quilts.  While monetary appraisals will not be available during this program\, information will be offered about how to find an experienced textile appraiser. \n\nThis program is free to the public\, but donations are gratefully accepted.
