DESCRIPTION:Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Tax ProgramThe VITA program is a free service for taxpayers whose incomes are $49\,000 or lower offered throughout the tax season. To participate\, you need to pick-up a numbered ticket on the day you plan on getting assistances. \n\nTickets are limited to 25 a day. Please bring your social security cards and all appropriate official documentation necessary such as picture IDs\, receipts\, statements\, etc. \n\nThis program is geared towards helping the homebound\, seniors\, those who have difficulty with tax preparation\, or may not be able to afford professional help. The Saratoga County Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program is sponsored by the IRS and the NYS Department of Tax and Finance. There are a variety of locations throughout the Capital District if the library’s services do not meet your needs.
