Advanced Hammer Workshop for Blacksmiths

This class will teach you step by step how to make a 2.5 pound forging hammer from two inch solid round 1045 tool steel. IN groups of two you will learn how to forge the hammer blank, slit the hole with 250 pound Little Giant, drift with a striker, and draw out the peen on the Little Giant. Heat treating will also be covered in this class, and the students will walk away with their very own hand made hardened forging hammer. Power hammer experience is a must.
