Dig Deep for that College, University or High School Apparel

On Thursday, September 26th, Saratoga County Chamber invites you to show your school pride by participating in a first-ever "Back to School" networking event at Longfellows, in Saratoga Springs.

To inspire new conversation starters at this event, attendees should wear something (a sweatshirt, hat, tie, scarf, sweat pants, etc.) from a school of your choice. Show your pride in the high school, college or university you, your spouse, or your son or daughter attends or from where you or they graduated.

Our hope is that attendees at a mixer dressed in casual clothes to promote their favorite school or college will inspire very different conversations than at a traditional Chamber mixer. We will be taking photos of groups of people wearing clothes from the same school but we also hope those who may have gone or sent children to schools far away from here will participate so that we can see the wide range of educational inspiration now engaged in building our local communities.

So dig deep into your closet for that old college sweatshirt or baseball cap. Or pick up something to wear while dropping off your son or daughter at their college or university this Fall. You might also shop local to show your pride in a local school, college or university. In some cases, this may just be the inspiration you need to visit your alumni association website to get the latest school apparel they have to offer.
