Emerging Artists Breakout Featuring Johanna Jacobsen

Saratoga native Johanna Jacobsen is coming to us all the way from Nashville for her first concert in her hometown! This successful songwriter was raised on classical violin, winning awards at solo competitions and touring to Austria and Hungary with the Empire State Youth Orchestra. Surprisingly, it was her degree in sports medicine that first took her to Nashville. Once there she was captivated by the art of songwriting. Her debut solo album was released in 2008. She has since had numerous songs pitched to major labels and has become a staff songwriter at Shadow Mountain Music. Her style is influenced by many different types of music (rock, pop, R&B, country) but mainly by artists such as Alison Krauss, Sarah McLachlan, Patty Griffin, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Carole King, and Natalie Merchant.
